Proven Conservative
for Secretary of State
About Tim
When it comes to electing our next Secretary of State, experience matters.
Tim Fleming is a proven leader and small business owner with trusted experience and a record of fighting for Georgia.
Georgians can't afford a secretary of state who is just seeking their next moment in the spotlight. We need a proven leader with the experience to ensure our elections are secure, accessible, fair, and trusted, streamline professional licensing, make government work for us, and enhance technology to better serve Georgians.
As Deputy Secretary of State under then-Secretary Brian Kemp, he managed the agency's $30 million budget and directed its 250 employees — including satellite offices across the state. He knows how the office runs because he ran it.
Fleming safeguarded voter ID requirements, secured the integrity of Georgia's voter rolls, and worked to ensure Georgians could trust our elections. He reformed a broken professional licensing process — cutting new license issuance down to five days and making renewals automatic, a fix that touched hundreds of thousands of Georgians directly.
He then went on to serve as Chief of Staff to Governor Brian Kemp where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of every state agency and helped manage Georgia's nearly $60 billion budget.
Today, Fleming serves as State Representative for House District 114, where he has continued to lead efforts to secure our elections, cut the red tape holding professional licensing back, help return billions of dollars to Georgia taxpayers, and protect Georgia values.
A lifelong resident of Newton County, Fleming is a small business owner operating several businesses in Covington, where he's built a career creating jobs and investing in the community he calls home. He served as a Newton County Commissioner from 2009 to 2013, steering the county through the Great Recession while fighting tax increases and protecting funding for law enforcement and essential services.
Fleming holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia. He has served on the Covington Planning and Zoning Commission and the Newton County Recreation Commission, and remains active with local charities.
Fleming lives in Covington with his wife, Lacey, and their three children, Jackson, Colby, and Hannah. The family are members of Wesley Methodist Church in Covington.
